Photo Content
Rules governing what you can and cannot submit
Original photos — Photos you personally took with any camera, phone, or device.
Edited photos — Post-processing, colour grading, cropping, and editing are all permitted and encouraged.
Before & After submissions — Allowed in contests that specifically support this format.
AI-generated images — Photos created entirely by AI (e.g. Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion) are not permitted. This is a photography competition, not an AI competition.
Stock photos or others' work — You must own or have explicit rights to every photo you submit. Submitting someone else's work without permission is a copyright violation.
Sexually explicit or nude content — No sexually explicit material, nudity, or content of a sexual nature is permitted under any circumstances.
Violent or graphic content — No gore, graphic violence, self-harm, or content that depicts harm to people or animals.
Hate content — No imagery promoting hatred, discrimination, or extremism based on race, religion, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.
Personal information of others — Do not submit photos that clearly display other people's private information (e.g. ID cards, addresses) without their consent.
🔥
Fair Voting
How to vote honestly and what constitutes manipulation
Vote for photos you genuinely like — Cast your single vote for the submission you believe best fits the contest theme and demonstrates the most skill.
Share your submission — Sharing your contest entry on social media and encouraging friends to vote for it is allowed and encouraged.
Vote manipulation — Using bots, scripts, fake accounts, or any automated tool to cast votes is strictly prohibited and results in immediate permanent banning.
Vote trading — Organising vote-trading schemes ("vote for me and I'll vote for you") is a form of manipulation and violates the spirit of fair competition.
Multiple accounts for voting — Creating multiple Flick accounts to vote more than once per contest is prohibited. Each person may have only one Flick account.
💬
Community Behaviour
How to engage with other photographers on Flick
Constructive engagement — Respectful discussions, feedback, and commentary on photography are welcome.
Harassment and bullying — Targeted harassment, personal attacks, threats, or sustained negative behaviour directed at any user is not tolerated.
Spam messaging — Sending unsolicited bulk messages, promotional content, or repetitive messages to other users is prohibited.
Impersonation — Pretending to be another user, a real person, a brand, or a member of the Flick team is prohibited.
Hate speech — Language promoting hatred, discrimination, or violence based on any personal characteristic is strictly prohibited in all parts of the app.
🏆
Contest Integrity
Keeping competitions fair for every participant
Submitting off-theme photos — All submissions must genuinely match the contest theme. Deliberately submitting unrelated photos to occupy a slot is unfair to other participants.
Exceeding submission limits — Do not attempt to bypass submission limits through technical means or multiple accounts.
Interfering with others' submissions — Attempting to get legitimate photos removed through false reporting is an abuse of the reporting system and is subject to enforcement action.
👤
Accounts
Account creation and identity rules
Multiple accounts — Each person may have only one Flick account. Creating additional accounts to circumvent bans, gain extra votes, or gain any other unfair advantage is prohibited.
False information — Providing false information during registration or in your profile is not permitted. This includes impersonating real people or businesses.
Underage use — Users under 13 years of age may not use Flick. Users aged 13–17 must have parental or guardian consent.

Enforcement
How we handle guideline violations

We take violations seriously. The severity of enforcement depends on the nature of the violation, its impact on the community, and whether it is a first or repeat offence.

Warning
Content Removal
Violating content is removed. A warning is issued for first-time minor violations.
Suspension
Temporary Ban
Account suspended for a set period. Applied for repeated minor violations or single moderate violations.
Permanent
Permanent Ban
Account permanently removed. Applied for severe violations, illegal content, or repeat offences after suspension.

If you believe your account was actioned in error, you can submit a ban appeal to support@joinflick.in. See our FAQ for appeal details.

Reporting Violations

You can report any content or user directly within the app by tapping the three-dot menu (⋯) on any photo, profile, or message. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Reports are confidential — the user you report will not know you reported them.
